Passivhaus and low-energy structures.
Fabric-first SIPs and timber frame, specified to your target.
Performance built into the structure, not bolted on.
Low-energy buildings start with the envelope: insulation, airtightness and thermal-bridge-free detailing. Get the fabric right and the mechanical systems shrink; get it wrong and no heat pump rescues it. Our structures are specified backwards from your performance target — Eco to full Passivhaus.
The panel is the insulation.
Certified U-values from 0.18 down to 0.12 W/m²K in the panel alone, before linings — with minimal thermal bridging because there is no stud pattern interrupting the insulation, and strong airtightness from the panel system itself. For vaulted spaces and room-in-roof designs, the SIPs roof is often the decisive advantage. Our SIPs service.
Enhanced build-ups, factory-controlled.
Closed-panel timber frame with full-fill insulation, service zones and factory-fitted membranes reaches the same fabric territory — U-values to 0.12 W/m²K — with the airtightness layer protected inside the build-up. Our timber frame service, and the open vs closed comparison.
A whole-team result, evidenced properly.
We provide accredited junction details, thermal modelling and a QA-audited install, and we support you to the airtightness test. What we will not do is pretend the tested result is ours alone to guarantee — that honesty is rarer than it should be, and it is why our evidence packs stand up.
Frequently asked questions.
Can SIPs achieve Passivhaus?
Yes — SIPs are one of the most direct fabric routes to Passivhaus-level performance: continuous insulation, minimal thermal bridging and panel-system airtightness. Certification also depends on windows, ventilation and detailing across the whole design.
Can timber frame achieve Passivhaus?
Yes — enhanced closed-panel build-ups with full-fill insulation and airtightness layers reach Passivhaus-level fabric. It must be specified and detailed in from the start, which is exactly the early engagement we push for.
Do you guarantee airtightness test results?
We provide accredited junction details, thermal modelling, a QA-audited install and support to the test — but airtightness is a whole-team result, and we are honest about that rather than overclaiming.
Building to a performance target?
Tell us the target — Eco, AECB, Passivhaus — and we will come back with the structure route that hits it, evidenced.
